About us

Mission Statement

Here at Kanti, our wanderlust led us to explore new parts of the world. While visiting these places, we started collecting beautiful pieces infused with beautiful stories. We were so inspired by our findings that we decided to bring back some of these treasures and share them with you. 

Our name Kanti is derived from Sanskrit, the ancient language of South Asia, which started many of the world’s modern languages. Kanti, the Sanskrit word for beauty, is thus a root for worldly beauty. Here at Kanti, our aim is to offer a variety of beautiful and genuine fine worldly goods so that everyone can enjoy some of the beauty available in our world. 

Many of our products come from organizations that give opportunities to underprivileged women, craftsman, and artisans. Our products help support their causes by helping them acquire new skills, opportunities, and independence within local and global communities.

And remember, here at Kanti we support individual artistic freedom as well as local materials. Since our goods often come from local artisans and places of modest means, we cannot guarantee that we will always be able to offer the same colors or fabrics of any particular item. However, we will continue to do our best to bring you the most beautiful variety of products from around the world.

About Ernestine

Ernestine has always been a fun-loving admirer of all things beautiful. After years of teaching and watching her children grow up to travel the world, she decided to go explore a little herself. By asking around, she started collecting ideas and curiosities from a number of helpful people located in not-so-local places. Together, they found numerous worldy goods infused by beautiful stories. Thus she decided to make some of these beautiful pieces available in her world. She is thrilled to be able to share some of her treasures with you. Be Beautiful, Be Kanti.
